Note: Contact your local animal shelter for information on whether they have a TNR program for feral cats. Many animal shelters in our area, such as in Arlington, Alexandria and Fairfax, have active TNR programs – residents like yourself or volunteers trap the cats and the shelters pay for their spaying/neutering and vaccinations once you meet the terms of their programs.

Note: declawing is now illegal in Virginia and Maryland.
