Thank you Janelle for fostering Oscar.  We still need a foster home for Julia.

JULIA & OSCAR are a fun, cuddly, social pair of kitties. They have incredibly soft fur which feels like silk when you pet them. They settle into a new home right away and always greet their human friends at the door when you come home. As they have gotten older, they are less bonded and will actually be happier as single kitties in different homes.

JULIA is a fun, cuddly and social kitty. She has incredibly soft fur which feels like silk when you pet her. She settles into a new home right away and greets her human friends at the door when you come home. Julia had been fostered with her brother, Oscar, for some time. However, over time, these siblings have become less compatible with each other and Oscar (posted separately) has been moved to a new foster home. We think they will be happy as single kitties in their homes.

Julia has an adorable nose which is half pink, half brown. She is a sweet purring machine who loves being petted. When you meet Julia, it’s easy to see why she usually gets her way! She has an outgoing personality, and isn’t shy about letting you know what she wants. Julia is very good at keeping herself entertained with toys – batting toy mice around her foster home – up and down the stairs and flinging them across the room.

Julia will do great in just about any type of home. With a single person, a couple or family with older kids. She has a tendency to chew on small plastic things – toys, bags etc – so it’s important that her forever home is kitten-proofed. Julia also has strong food and prey drives so a home with lots of toys, interaction and food on a regular schedule will keep her happy.

If you would like to consider fostering Julia, please fill out the Cat Foster Application.

OSCAR is a friendly, social kitty. He has incredibly soft fur which feels like silk when you pet them. Oscar is not shy but may need a little time and space to explore things on his own before he feels comfortable. Once he’s comfortable, he will greet you at the door when you some home. Until recently, Oscar was paired up with his sister, Julia (posted separately). However, over time these siblings have become less compatible and will be happier as single kitties in separate homes.

Oscar has beautiful sea green eyes. He has a sweet personality and is up for cuddles when he’s in the mood. Oscar likes to look out windows to watch what’s happening outside. He also likes to play but prefers interactive play with people rather than initiating play on his own. He seems to need his prey to move around on its own…wave a cat dancer around and Oscar will go nuts! Even though Oscar is generally sweet, he can get a little testy with a nip or swat if you pet him or move him when he wants to be left alone. So no young children for this playful boy.

Oscar has food and/or environmental allergies that cause bumps on his neck and chest. He’s under the care of a veterinary dermatologist and is being treated with hypo-allergenic food and medication (Atopica). Since being on this combination, Oscar has had no outbreaks. Oscar is a food hound and gobbles up his liquid medication without even knowing it, so medicating this boy is easy.

Oscar needs an adult-only home since he can be a bit temperamental. He needs a patient caretaker who will let him settle in and do his own thing until he acclimates. Once he settles in, his true personality will emerge. Oscar has a very strong food and prey drive so lots of toys, interaction and games and meals on a regular schedule keep him happy.

We are waiving the adoption fee for Oscar due to his allergies.
