Dog Adoption Fairs have been suspended until further notice. However, SPCA NOVA continues to adopt dogs by appointment during this pandemic. We are taking extreme measures to protect staff, volunteers, and adopters. We are following all Virginia and CDC guidelines.

If you are interested in a particular dog you MUST complete a Meet Your Match (MYM) form on our website. We will review your form and contact you.

Changes to Our Regular Process Include:

• In-person home visits will not be performed. In some cases, a video home visit may be done.
• Applications are processed and approved via email and/or telephone upfront.
• An appointment will be made with the approved applicants to meet and pick up a dog for trial placement.
• During the meet-and-greet appointment, masks must be worn and social distancing must be maintained.
• We will finalize adoption contracts by mail after the trial period.
