Lewis is, like most beagles, inquisitive. When walking on a leash, h
e is interested in all sorts of outdoor smells but not frantically so. He could benefit from more leash training, but seems smart and a fast learner, and his size makes him easy to handle.
He’s pretty people-oriented and loves to sit in your lap. He is not overly noisy but he will join in the chorus when set off by other dogs.
Lewis comes to us from a rural shelter in southwestern Virginia, where he had been picked up as a stray.
