Maggie is crate trained and house trained. She bonds quickly with her people, and although she's not a lap dog, she loves to be around them.

he's good with other dogs, cats and probably whatever you would throw in her direction.

When Hurricane Ida threatened Louisiana shelters, Maggie Mae, and many other Louisiana shelter dogs and cats were evacuated out of harms way to Tylertown, MS. One of our Virginia rescue partners journeyed there to lend a hand and bring back some animals in order to make room for other evacuees once the storm hit.  Maggie was living with one of the Tylertown caretakers

She's been checked out at the vet and is pretty healthy. No signs of kidney disease. No heartworm. She has a minor heart ailment that can be easily controlled with inexpensive medication.
