Primary Breed: Miniature Pinscher

Mixed Breed: Yes

General Age: Adult

Jax is a very loving little dog.  Despite missing one leg, he is a very active guy, not missing a beat. He's huge cuddler and loves to snuggle with his person while watching TV or playing games.

Jax comes from rural southwest Virginia. He came into our care when his owner could no longer care for him. Originally thought to be 5 years old, subsequent veterinary exams lead us to believe he may be closer to 7 or 8 years old. He is diabetic, requiring a regular feeding schedule and insulin injections.

SPCA NOVA will waive the adoption fee for Jax. In addition, Bonaventure Property Management is sponsoring Jax. They will provide a supply of his glucose-control food, insulin, syringes, and his next glucose check.

Jax does not like cats.
