Primary Breed: Husky

Mixed Breed: Yes

Gender: Female

General Age: Senior

Babette and Nanouche are inseparable sisters. These two beautiful husky-mix sisters have been together their entire lives. They will need a home that promises to never separate them.

Babette (blond color with two crystal blue eyes) is the livelier of the two and will want to jump and bark when she plays. Nanouche (black with white and has one blue eye and one brown eye) is the calmer of the pair and is happy to play a little tug of war with you. Nanouche is named after a famous DR Congolese female soccer player.

These fun and friendly girls are 10 years old. They are healthy and still have lots of love to give and life to live. They are content to spend most of the day being couch potatoes. They do love some outdoor play time but do not tolerate extreme heat well, due to their breed.

What they are looking for in a home: a securely fenced in yard, an owner that enjoys cuddling, and someone who will take the time to give them exercise each day. They understand basic commands, sit, lay, stay, come. They would love to sleep with you but will understand if you prefer they have their own beds. Either way they will want to sleep near one another.

They get very excited when they meet new people. They love people! They are house trained but may have an accident if there is bad weather and they can’t go outside. Babette has a fear of thunderstorms and will want to be close to you for comfort until all the loud booms go away.

They came into our care when their owner became ill and unable to care for them any longer. They are in a foster home but they deserve a permanent place of love to live out the remainder of their lives together.

An in-home visit is welcome but requires face masks and social distancing.

The adoption fee for these two dogs will be waived due to their age.

PLEASE NOTE: We ONLY adopt to residents of the Washington metropolitan area, which includes Washington, D.C. and parts of Northern Virginia and Maryland.
