Description:Wallace's Personality
WALLACE is a friendly, handsome, sandy-colored tabby. He confidently greets strangers and loves to play with everyone. Wallace is a funny boy who likes to drink water out of the faucet. He jumps up on the sink and gives a little meow when he wants you to turn on the faucet. Wallace is SUPER curious and nosy and likes to be a part of everything! His absolute favorite activity is to play, play, play. It doesn’t matter if it’s just 3 zip-ties tied together, a piece of rope, or a bee toy wand – he LOVES them all!
Once Wallace gets his energy out, he is a very sweet boy. He snuggles against you in bed and falls asleep with you at night. When he hears your voice after being away, he gives you a little baby mew and purrs loudly to greet you with his tail straight up in the air. Wallace loves his cat tree and window perch to watch activities outdoors. He is currently being leash trained and has great potential to go on walks and little adventures outdoors with the safety of a harness and leash. He also looks very dapper in his harness with a little bow!
Wallace can be a bit mischievous. He likes to chew on tape, plastic, or foam so those things need to be kept out of reach. He can jump 5+ feet high and is very athletic and strong. He may sometimes give a little nip when he is bored and wants you to play with him so it is important to discourage this behavior, divert his attention with toys, and give him plenty of interactive play time to work through his energy.
Type of Home Wallace Needs
Wallace needs a home with experienced cat caretakers who understand both his sweet and mischievous sides. He needs plenty of playtime and activity around him to keep him engaged – a home with more than one person where someone works from home at least part time would be best. He would do fine with an older cat-savvy child (about 12 years of age). No young children now or in the future. Wallace also needs to be the only cat in the home – he doesn't do well with the two female cats in his current home. We haven't see him interact with dogs so its hard to say how he would do with a dog in the home.
Where Wallace Came From
Wallace has been living in a loving home with two older female cats for a few months now. Unfortunately, he does not do well with them – preferring to stalk and pounce on them fairly aggressively. Because he's not integrating well with the female cats in this home, we think he needs to be the only kitty in the home.
