PEPPER is a very confident, friendly and quiet cat. He settles easily into a new home with new people. He's a big boy – weighing in at almost 15 pounds (a healthy weight for Pepper).

Pepper loves hanging out with people and is at ease when guests visit his foster home. He greets people by rubbing up against their legs. Pepper loves hanging out with his foster dad – sitting next to him on the couch for some down time. Pepper also likes sleeping next to his foster dad at night. During the day, he loves to nap where sunshine is coming through the window.

Pepper is a playful boy. He loves when you wave a wand toy around for him to chase. He will also bat toys around on his own. He needs plenty of playtime in his forever home. Pepper will do well in just about any time of home. He is currently in a foster home with a single guy. He would do equally well with a couple or a family with kids 12 years or older.

Pepper was a stray kitty who came into our care after someone noticed him outside when she was feeding some feral cats in her neighborhood. Pepper was friendly right away so she knew he didn't belong outdoors in the cold. After coming into our care we discovered he is FIV positive – not uncommon for roaming male cats outdoors. Pepper is otherwise a healthy cat who is expected to live a nice long life.
