Needs feline companion: YesDescription:
ORION is an adorable medium-haired brown tabby. Named like the Greek god, he is a hunter and a thief. This mischievous little guy is a huge snuggler with his foster family. He also likes to play gently with his sisters, Aurora and Luna (posted separately). Orion may be paired up with a gentle orange tabby male kitten, but we are posting him now as a single kitten in case we find a compatible special needs kitty in an adopter's home.
This amazing little guy is very special. Orion's foster family adores him as much as he loves them back. He is a little slower in his movements than his sisters – he walks with a cautious gait which is sometimes a little off balance, and he sometimes pauses to think before acting on something. Orion is otherwise a very healthy, happy boy and growing right along with his siblings.
Orion is the only kitten in the litter that has a slight neurological condition called cerebellar hypoplasia (CH). This is caused either when a mom cat gets a distemper vaccination or has panleukopenia while pregnant. This condition will not worsen over time. Cats do amazingly well when the condition is slight as they learn how to compensate overtime. Orion has no idea he's different than his siblings and is usually found right in the thick of things with his siblings or foster family. He has stolen the hearts of his foster family and will steal your heart too.
Orion needs a quiet home with an experienced cat caretaker whose home life isn't expected to change a lot over time.
His ideal home:
–no frequent moves
–is with an older person or couple, or family with an older cat-savvy child.
–won't have babies or young kids down the road, or dogs.
–doesn't have stairs that Orion would have to navigate going up and down.
–has carpeting so Orion can grip the carpeting when he walks, although hardwood floors with lots of rugs would be ok.
Orion is the sweetest, cutest little guy. He has known nothing but love and just needs the right home environment and a loving family who can meet his needs.
