OREO is a VERY friendly and active girl. She loves getting attention from her foster parents, but is also good at playing on her own. Oreo can be adopted out as a single cat or into a home with an existing cat as discussed in greater detail below.

Oreo loves getting attention, being petted and hanging out with her foster parents. She also likes a nice sunny windowsill to watch what’s happening outdoors. Oreo is a very active kitty who likes to play with other cats  – running and chasing each other and imaginary objects. Oreo is an explorer who likes to check out every nook and cranny of her surroundings.

Oreo is an intelligent kitty with high energy and is always ready for play and attention. When she isn’t playing, Oreo curls up on the couch next to you if you have a nice soft blanket waiting for her. We have not seen Oreo interact with dogs or children. However, because she is so friendly and confident, we think she would likely do well with a cat-friendly dog and/or older children who know to play with her appropriately to discourage nipping when playing. If Oreo is the only kitty in her forever home, she needs a home with a couple or family with multiple people to interact with her. She is too energetic and people-oriented to be home alone too much on work days and weekends.

Oreo and her sister, Cookie, came into our care from a local shelter. Cookie was too laid back for Oreo so we moved them into separate foster homes. Cookie has been adopted.

PLEASE NOTE: We ONLY adopt to residents of the Washington metropolitan area, which includes Washington, D.C. and parts of Northern Virginia and Maryland.
