Opal's Personality

Opal is a super sweet "teenage" tuxedo girl with the softest, silkiest fur and the tiniest squeak of a meow that melts your heart. She’s a gentle soul with a big personality – playful, curious, and endlessly affectionate.

What makes Opal truly special is how much she loves to cuddle and play. She’s a total cuddle bug who climbs right up to nuzzle against your neck and then falls asleep tucked under your chin. She loves to lay in your lap or next to you on the couch. Opal purrs softly while she snuggles, happy just to be near you. Whether you’re watching TV, reading, or working from home, Opal wants to be part of it – curled up right beside you, keeping you company.

Opal is also a very curious girl, always ready to explore or chase after a toy. But her favorite moments are quiet ones – when she feels safe, warm, and loved by your side.

What Type of Home Opal Needs

Opal needs a loving home with more than one person where she gets plenty of love, affection and interactive play with people. We have not seen her interact with kids but she would be a great family cat with older cat-savvy kids who know how to interact with young cats. Opal also needs to be the only cat in her forever home. We tried to integrate her with a young female adult cat and a kitten her own age (when she was a little younger). Opal did not do well even with patient and careful integration. 

Where Opal Came From

Opal had found her way to a loving family via someone who was 'handing out kittens.' Luckily they knew she needed careful placement and took her in knowing they would seek help from a rescue organization to ensure she gets the right life-long home.
