Description:

HARLEY is a sweet and friendly cat who is always up for playtime and snuggles! He adapts to changes right away and settles easily into a new environment. We learned quickly that Harley (black/white) was a bit too rambunctious as a single kitty in his foster home. So we have moved Mercutio (grey tabby) into Harley's foster home. These boys became instant friends (see photo). We would like Harley and Mercutio to be adopted as a pair.

Harley has his calm moments, but then he decides its time to play! He loves to bat balls and mice around, and leap to capture the flying feather on his fishing pole. Harley can get a little over-stimulated when playing so you need to make sure to have toys handy when playing with him and reinforce that's its not only to nip people when playing. This is one reason he needs a male cat buddy to wrestle and play with. This type of behavior is normal for cats.

After Harley is done playing, he loves to cuddle up on your lap for a snooze, or to get in the big window and watch the world go by. He loves to follow people all over the house, and be involved in what's happening around him. Harley also absolutely loves to have his ears rubbed and becomes your forever friend after just a couple minutes of rubs!

Harley will do well in a home with a couple or family with older kids. If there are kids, they need to be about 12 years or older who know how to play properly with an active cat. We have not seen Harley interact with dogs but he would probably do fine with a well-mannered, cat-friendly dog.

Harley came into our care after being found outside in the cold begging to come inside someone's home.
