ELIZABETH thrives in a loving and energetic environment.
Elizabeth is a friendly, playful cat. She has beautiful light green eyes. She is a tabby/tortoiseshell with stripes and hints of pale apricot patches of color. Even her voice sounds sweet when she is seeking your attention. Elizabeth doesn't like a lot of petting but enjoys being scratched behind her ears and under her chin.
Elizabeth loves to play and chase her toys. She displays her playful side with interactive toys like a toy mouse or wand, or simply chasing your feet as you walk. She is very loving and shows her affection by reaching out her paws to touch you. Elizabeth is a great companion and always wants to be in the same room with you. She is not too fussy about her food, although she does enjoy eating while a human is also in the room with her or even holds the bowl for her. So she is a social eater!
Elizabeth is a gentle kitty who doesn't scratch furniture. Like most cats, she likes to jump on dressers and countertops to explore the world around her. So having a cat tree or two would be great for her. She either sleeps alone or at the food of her foster parents' bed at night. She loves looking out an opened and screened window. She sometimes jumps up to the computer to join you while you work for a little while.
Elizabeth does great with the energy level of the 6 yr old child in her foster home since she loves to play. She doesn't, however, like to be carried or held in your arms for too long. She gets squirmy. She is getting more comfortable with curling up next to her foster mom for some attention or for a short nap.
Elizabeth needs a moderately active to active home where she gets plenty of playtime. She needs a home with more than one person and a family with a couple of older kids would be ideal. Elizabeth may also do well with another young, playful female cat to bond with. She came into our care from a local shelter along with her two healthy kittens (Bruce and Caroline – adopted).
