The SPCA of Northern Virginia needs committed, caring volunteers for the following events and activities:

If you can open your home on a temporary basis, you could become a Foster Parent for a cat or dog. We always need foster homes for our dogs, but our need for cat foster homes varies on a seasonal basis; it is especially critical during kitten season in the spring. Please click here for a Cat Foster Home application. We do not currently have an online Dog Foster Home application; please call 703 799-9390 and leave a message if you are interested in fostering a dog. |

DOG ADOPTIONS 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month Dog Adoption fairs are held on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month at Weber's in Fairfax (with occasional exceptions; see the Dog Adoption Schedule). Volunteers are needed to walk adoptable dogs and talk to potential families about the dog they're walking, and are expected to be there from 12:00 until 3 p.m. Experience with handling larger dogs is desirable, but you will be paired with an experienced volunteer the first time. FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE Are you interested in planning events? We need committed, hard-working people to join our Fundraising Committee. If you have good ideas and are willing to share them and help them become reality, contact Debbie at Fundraising@SPCANoVA.org. |

If your availability for volunteering fluctuates, you can volunteer to work at SPCA NoVA events, such as the Dog Wash, Reston Pet Fiesta, or the National Capital Cat Show. For more information, please e-mail Volunteers@SPCANoVA.org. |
